Love Burn Theme for 2026:
Island of Broken Toys
February 5-8, 2026
We are Evergardeners—cultivators, artists, builders, and dreamers who believe in the power of myth, interactivity, and collective storytelling. We are a radically collaborative collective of artists based in St Pete, FL with a mission to cultivate the artist within. Inside the Evergarden Temple we host workshops, performances, dance parties, cookies and tea within our deeply immersive, surreal art installation. Outside we support 5 other Love Burn art projects. The Evergarden story is ever-evolving; as a metaphor of our collective experiences inside this 6-year experiment.
Together, we’re building an experience that celebrates the beauty in the broken and the sacred in the silly. Through our moving temple of toys and tales, we hope to awaken joy, invite connection, and gift an evolving story to every participant we meet - at the burn and beyond.

2020 ~ Amongst the gurgling fountains of the Brine Speakeasy, an unknown magic was invited to play. It was here that an ancient dragon spirit, drawn by the mysterious energy, found a quiet home for itself. The creature nested deep within the humble grotto, making the hidden space its own private sanctuary and sanctum.
2021 ~ The dragon spirit transformed the grotto into a gossamer of rainbows and light, a perfect sanctuary that felt as if it were at the center of space itself. Within this magical haven, the dragon kept its most sacred and mysterious treasure safe from the outside world.
A period of time passed, and it was discovered that the most precious treasure of the dragon was a magical seed. Planted in the transformed grotto, it grew into a technicolor tree, growing every type of flower imaginable, but its trunk held a greater secret: portals to other dimensions, which sometimes seemed to spill out into our own.
A team of mythical scientific cultivators began studying the Evergarden Tree, there seemed to be a direct connection with the tree's power and the creative energy of the community. But in their quest for knowledge, they conducted too many experiments, overdrawing the well of the portal until the tree shorted out and vanished, leaving only a stump. Whoops.
Eons passed. A temple of intention was constructed around the dormant stump. Mysterious, glowing crystals sprouted from the canopy as devoted weirdos performed sacred rituals to wake it up. signifying that the magic was still within. Artists were called to perform rituals on and around the stump, paying homage and praying for the portal to return.
And it worked! A huge technicolor heart now hovers above the portal, beaming its energy across the space. Hidden worlds are appearing in odd vessels, televisions have sputtered to life, and a new tunnel smells like cookies — all hinting at the wonders to come on the Island of Broken Toys.

Evergarden is a variegated, botanical-grade art village rooted in immersive installations, interactive experiences, and collaborative storytelling. Our collective is proudly headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, where 95% of our campers live, create, and grow together.
2026 marks the SIXTH year that our long-running core group is returning to Love Burn together, and each year our roots grow deeper. The proximity of our members fuels the creative fire: we share resources, tools, workspaces, transport, and most importantly, time. This closeness allows us to dream bigger, build smarter, and fundraise collectively for the many interwoven projects that bring Evergarden to life.
Our core cultivators are committed to expanding the circle. Each year we empower more campers to step into leadership and artistic ownership, while also welcoming new collaborators from the vibrant St. Pete arts scene. Whether working on camp-wide projects or bringing their own visions to bloom, Evergardeners co-create a space where creativity and community thrive side by side.
In 2026, our collective joy, weirdness, and shared effort converge into something truly special. Love Burn is our canvas — and we can’t wait to add our colors to the Island of Broken Toys.
Our art is designed to be fully immersive and interactive, offering participants a chance to step into a living world of imagination and discovery. Each element of our installation invites visitors to explore, engage, and co-create - blurring the line between observer and participant.
Set within a landscape shaped by myth, memory, and wonder, the environments we create, whether mobile or stationary, encourages curiosity and personal reflection. Guests don’t just pass through or around us - they contribute, activate, and transform these zones through their presence and play.
In keeping with this year’s Love Burn theme, Island of Broken Toys, our art offers an emotional and creative sanctuary for those seeking connection, catharsis, or just a moment of unexpected delight. Whether someone arrives in character or stumbles upon us in quiet reflection, they’re invited to become part of the ongoing story.
Fostering meaningful interactivity
We want people to get involved! Not just with the art, but with each other. Whether through touch, play, or conversation, our spaces are designed to invite connection at every level. Whether you're helping fabricate a cart before the event or stumbling upon it in the middle of the night, you’re part of the story.
Nurturing individual creative growth - We encourage each of our campers to express their unique artistic voice. While we collaborate on shared visions, we also create space for individual contributions to shine - pieces that feel personal, distinct, and unmistakably theirs.
Gifting experiences, not just objects - Our goal is to leave participants with something more than a memory - an encounter, an emotion, a sense of wonder. Sometimes it’s tangible; sometimes it lingers unseen but unforgettable.
Honoring the gift of participation - When someone engages with our camp, we see it as a mutual exchange. We offer our art and presence with intention, and we welcome whatever participants choose to bring - stories, ideas, energy, or simply attention.
Encouraging introspection through art - Much of our design encourages looking inward. What story do you carry? What memory do you return to? Our hope is that something in the space will speak to that quiet part of each person.
Inspiring personal impact and presence - We believe every interaction leaves a mark. Through art, invitation, and intention, we encourage participants to consider how they show up - how they connect, contribute, and carry the spirit of the burn forward.
